Join Our Chorus!
We love an audience at our regular rehearsals because it helps us better prepare for upcoming performances. Guest singers are welcome to watch, but we strongly encourage you to sing with us to get a sense for the kind of work we do and the musical benefits we experience.
Our audition process is straightforward:
- First, come to three consecutive rehearsals to get a good sense of how the Spirit of Saint Louis Chorus works.
- Second, pass a basic vocal audition by singing our audition song “Heart of My Heart” in a quartet for our music team.
- Third, apply for membership with the Barbershop Harmony Society.
Once you've joined, you'll be expected to learn the repertoire and come prepared for every rehearsal and concert.
To audition, you'll be asked to sing your part to the song “Heart of My Heart” in a quartet. You can use the sheet music provided (right) in the audition. Our music team will be listening for correct words and notes as well as good vocal tone that will blend with the chorus.
